A Discovery flight is the perfect way to put your feet in the water and give flight training a chance before committing a lot of time and money - no strings attached!

For $245 you get to be at the controls of one of our modern equipped Cessna 172s with an experienced instructor by your side. The whole experience lasts about an hour and gives you the chance to log real world flight time.

FAQs

  • After purchasing the flight what do you do?

    • After you purchase a Discovery Flight, you can use it anytime within one year. Find a day that works best for you, make sure the weather is clear, and then call/text us at (256) 542-3585 or submit a request via the form above, and we will put you on the schedule!

  • What can I expect?

    • You can expect to walk in and discover what life at Revolution Flight school is like. When you walk in you will be greeted by a member of our operations team. From there you will be introduced to an instructor who will then take you to your aircraft. The instructor will land and handle the radios but you will get to do most of the flying yourself! 

  • How long is the flight?

    • The flight itself lasts around 30-40 minutes while the entire experience lasts about an hour. 

  • What do I bring?

    • Bring a photo ID and your gift certificate

  • What should I wear?

    • Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes. 

  • Do I need any equipment?

    • We provide headsets and checklists are available for purchase. 

  • Can I bring a friend?

    • This is dependent upon the weight and balance of the aircraft due to safety precautions. 

  • What does the price include? 

    • Instructor time

    • Aircraft Rental time

    • Fuel
