WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
We prefer a 24 hour notice of cancellation. If the weather is in doubt for a scheduled flight lesson just give us a call to confirm. Many times when weather doesn't cooperate for flying we can still get together and focus on ground training.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE ME TO GET MY PRIVATE PILOT'S LICENSE?
The FAA minimum hours for a Private Pilot check ride is 40hours. The national average is somewhere around 87. Our students tend to be around 55hours. Each individual person learns at a different pace and a big variable is how often you fly. If you fly once a month it may take you over 100 hours. If you fly five times a week you may finish closer to 40 hours.
DO YOU ACCEPT INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS?
Yes we do! As long as TSA clearance is issued we can probably work with you.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO LEARN TO FLY?
The answer is: It varies. Each student learns at a different pace. The program is designed to allow you to progress at the best speed for you individually. The cost is based on a per hour basis. This means that the quicker you progress, the less it costs.
WHAT TYPE OF AIRCRAFT DO YOU USE?
Most of our flight training is conducted in modern well equipped Cessna 172s. We also use a Piper Arrow for Complex training as well as a Beechcraft Travel Air for multi-engine training. For Turbine Transition Training we have a Piper Cheyenne II and also have a Cessna Caravan. For details on Turbine transition contact us at 256-772-2004
